Scrum as McDonald vs Hackers as Michelin chef

For mild quality people to produce mild quality software you need lot of process.

Scrum is like that, and give manager the illusion of control via process. Manager pay you to follow scrum course, but not pay you to try new things.

We are better than that.

Values

  • Do I solve the most important problem?
  • Write code, don't talk about it
  • Take risks. The riskiest thing is to take no risk.
  • Access to information should be for everybody.

Code not discussion about code

Scrum: for us it works because we have our own version of scrum. Of course because it doesn't work.

For Managers

Beekeepers vs Sheep herders.

As a manager, just make them focus on the biggest impact.

Give them lot of money.

Look at the military.
